The South Morang canteen is operated by Metro Canteens and is located adjacent to the Fitness Centre. It provides a variety of food and beverage options for both staff and students throughout the school day.
1. General Information & Operating Hours
- Operating Hours: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.
- Online Ordering: All advance lunch orders must be placed via the Flexischools app.
- Account Setup: Download the app and create an account under your own name.
- Deadline: Orders must be submitted by 9:00 am on the day of the order.
2. Staff and Secondary Students (South Morang)
- Collection: Staff and Secondary students can collect their online orders directly from the canteen counter.
- Primary Staff Note: Staff teaching a Primary class may have their lunch attached to their classroom’s student order for delivery directly to the room.
- Counter Service Times: * Recess: Service ends promptly at 11:23 am.
- Lunch: Service ends promptly at 2:08 pm. (The teacher on Lunch 2 Canteen Duty is responsible for ensuring service ceases at this time).
3. Primary School Procedures
Online lunch orders are available daily for all Primary students, with specific delivery and collection protocols:
- Prep: Delivered to classrooms by Maintenance staff by 1:00 pm.
- Years 1 & 2: Delivered to classrooms by Maintenance staff by 1:10 pm.
- Years 3 to 6: Student Lunch Monitors are to collect order tubs from the canteen at 1:10 pm. Tubs must be returned to the canteen after use.
- Service Restrictions: * Recess: No counter service is available for Primary students.
- Lunch: Counter service is available until 2:08 pm.
4. Secondary Students (Doreen)
Mobile Service: A food truck operates daily at the Doreen campus during the lunch break to provide fresh options for students and staff.
