Respect@Work

MACS Respect@Work Policy

At Marymede Catholic College, we are committed to fostering a workplace culture built on dignity, respect, and the inherent worth of every individual. As part of the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) network, we embrace the Respect@Work policy framework, which reflects our Catholic values and our legal obligations to provide a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all staff, students, and community members.

The Respect@Work policy establishes clear standards for professional conduct and outlines our zero-tolerance approach to harassment, discrimination, bullying, and any form of workplace misconduct. It provides guidance on appropriate behaviour, reporting mechanisms, and support processes, ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and confidentially.

We recognise that a respectful workplace enhances wellbeing, strengthens collaboration, and enables everyone to flourish in their roles. Every member of our College community has both the right to be treated with respect and the responsibility to treat others respectfully.

By upholding the principles of Respect@Work, we create a culture where all staff feel valued, safe, and empowered to contribute their best to our shared mission of Catholic education.
