To ensure we maintain a safe and well-organised environment at Marymede Catholic College, all staff are reminded of the protocols regarding leaving the campus during the school day. While the College allows for flexibility during non-scheduled duty times, our primary obligation remains the Duty of Care for our students and the safety of our colleagues.
If you need to leave the school grounds for any reason during the working day, please adhere to the following:
- Notification: Please notify the Daily Organiser or your relevant Campus Head before departure to ensure that any unforeseen emergency supervisions or administrative needs are covered.
- Mandatory Sign-Out: You must use the electronic sign-out system at Reception (or the designated kiosk for your Campus) immediately upon leaving and again upon your return. This is a critical Occupational Health and Safety requirement; in the event of an emergency evacuation or lockdown, we must be able to account for every staff member instantly.
- Supervision: Under no circumstances should a staff member leave a classroom or scheduled duty area until a VIT-registered colleague has arrived to take over supervision.
